Whose bright idea was it to hold all the Earth Day celebrations on 4/20????
If I had known, I would never have tried to come onto campus today. Seriously, I've nearly been in two auto accidents already.
(Yes, I know --- driving to school on Earth Day? For shame! But I wanted to haul crap from the library.)
Helpful hint: if you suddenly think that driving 2 miles an hour on the major street outside campus, driving diagonally across said major street, or driving on grass, sidewalks, or pedestrian-friendly surfaces is a good idea, you're too stoned to be in the car.
This ends the cog's Public Service Announcement.

Oh yeah, Earth Day! Apparently Field doesn't recognize that holiday.
As for 4/20, my guess is that the celebrants--limited as they likely are out here--are keeping to themselves. The streets are safe in my neck of the fields.
Ah, I remember Earth Day chez toi. There used to be dog exhibits and competitions for working dogs: first time I ever saw Aussies herding. Very cool. And there was a cow with a hole...
Thanks for liking my guy. He was raised by cats; it's had a profound impact on his life.
Belle, I heard tell of a cow with a hole and a plexiglass window so you could see the stomachs working ... is this true!?!?! Ew!
The cow with a hole and a plexiglass window? I went to a school with one of those...
And 4/20 Earth Day..that made me laugh. I miss the west coast; no one here even blinks at the humor of that.
I think the cow only comes out on the day for Dachshund races. And the precision shovel team. :) That was always my very favorite part of the parade!
