A Cog Comes Out!

* * * *

(Of course, I couldn't get the tam on my cats as planned for the photo shoot ---- I don't know why I was thinking it would easy to put a big scary hat on Timido. As you can see, I can't even get one on Loquito here.)

Wait, does this mean congratulations are in order? On the brightly-colored floppy hat, of course?

Yay!! Many congratulations!!!

I so envy you the Luther-cap. I had a stupid ol' square Mortarboard.

I do love, though, that our bookshelves look virtually the same (in fact, I have Jameson open in front of me as we speak).

And now, your long institutional nightmare is, well, going to turn into a *new* institutional nightmare! yay!

Sorry, that was in bad taste. Congratulations!

Thanks everybody!

Horace, I haven't actually cracked open the Jameson in _soo_ long --- the De Certeau is probably most central to my stuff.

zunguzungu, I like your sense of humor --- that was exactly what I was thinking. Good thing I'm irrepressible!

Dr Brainiac --- yay! A fellow UC grad? Whoo-hoo! Thanks!

Yeah, well, De Certau's in the other essay I'm supposed to be working on now. Perhaps we can just trade projects?

No honey, not USC...that's just standard "PhD Blue" that we earned. I'm assuming you had the blue velvet trim from the collar all the way down the front and 3 blue velvet bars on the sleeve. My hood is also PhD Blue satin with Kelly Green chevrons. I was the only one in my graduating class to spring for that getup. Everyone else rented the black velvet version with the mortarboard that smelled like feet. The hardest part was the finishing up of the details and waiting for everything to be officially official. You'll get there. You've come too far not to!
