Well, the four-year job apps are done and sent. I think the season is done ---- nothing was posted on Friday (and there has been nothing I could apply to for weeks).
As of Friday, the last of my community college job apps are out --- the exact same time as I got my first cc rejection letter.
That sound you hear is the sound of my stomach eating myself.
Or maybe my heart breaking.
I'm sorry. The market is brutal, especially this year.
Best of luck with the cc applications.
Aw, Sis. What Fretful Porpentine said. Take care, and be as nice to yourself as possible.
Yeah. What they said.
Echoing the other commenters, too. Hugs!
I'm sorry. This whole market thing sucks.
Ugh. Ugh ugh ugh. I'm sorry. And crossing fingers for ya.
i shake my fist at the universe for you.
i'm sorry. take care of yourself. i survived a shitty office job this year--at least i had benefits with it. it wasn't ideal, but it is doable and something as much as i wanted to be teaching... what i'm saying is, if need be, you can survive office life for a year, too.
i'm keeping my fingers crossed.
Aw, sweetheart. I'm so sorry. Hang in there.
kia kaha! - good luck, be strong.
Good luck and hang in there.
I sympathize enormously.
There were only 25 jobs I could apply for this year. I had some interviews, but absolutely nothing came of them. But it looks like I can get a renewal of my current 1-year job, so at least I'll be able to pay my student loan bills for a bit longer.
The stiff upper lip is sometimes hard, but keep at it.
Hi! My blog is for people like you:
Poor Sis. It's terrible. I *wish* we had jobs to offer!
Sorry. It really was a terrible, terrible market this year.
So sorry. hugs and chocolate
What they said. Sending virtual chocolate. ((((Sis))))
So sorry. Really, and you know this, it's them and not you.
I, too, am pretty dejected. At least you aren't the only one, I guess. Hugs.
