As we were flying westward today I kept thinking of you and exclaiming to my spouse, "I'm SO HAPPY for Academic Cog!"
Now, partly this is because I was thinking of your recent post because I felt sick & headachy. But I've been crazy happy ever since I heard the news. Every once in a while, the shitty academic job market does right by someone who's earned it. And I'm so glad that this time it's you.
Congratulations! I was torn up by your posts and the thought of you having to be separated from your cats. To know that it has worked out is the best news! Your success is well earned and gives hope to everyone still looking!
